Who we are
Our website address is: https://focusguild.com.
Focus Guild is a blog focused on learning, productivity, and personal growth.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site may download and extract such data.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies — it contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
If you log in, we set up several cookies to save your login and display settings. Login cookies last for 2 days, screen options cookies for 1 year. “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for 2 weeks. Logging out removes all login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved with the post ID — it expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). This behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other site. These sites may collect data, use cookies, or track your interactions.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and metadata are retained indefinitely to approve follow-up comments automatically.
For registered users (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their data (except usernames). Admins can see and edit all user data.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold, or request erasure. This does not include data we’re required to keep for legal, administrative, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked via an automated spam detection service.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This service may collect non-personal information like IP addresses, device types, browser versions, and pages visited.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer not to be tracked.
Google AdSense
We may display ads through Google AdSense. These third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google’s Ads Settings.
